RWANDA : AGF promise hard-game
By Julius Mbaraga
AGF have vowed to make it difficult for table leaders ESPOIR during today’s encounter at Kacyiru in the ongoing National Basketball League.
The game is expected to be a tight contest between the first and last clubs on the league table. Having won last weekend’s encounter with BUG, the Kacyiru side is looking forward to more positive results. One of the club’s star guards, Gishomo, said the team has been training intensively and that the entire team is ready to take on the Rafiiki outfits.
“We have to forget that they are at the top of the table and concentrate on our game,” the 25-year-old said.
However, sources who preferred anonymity, blame AGF’s poor performance to the club’s hasty management and financial strain.
Tomorrow, three games are on card - two in the men and one in the ladies category. In the men’s category, ESPOIR gets back into action when they travel to KIE while UNR host 2005 reigning champions APR in Butare.
In the ladies’ category, KIE will host ISAE.
